Economic Development Case Studies

Across Western Australia, Local Governments are supporting positive economic outcomes for their communities through a diverse range of approaches and activities. There is no one-size-fits-all formula for economic development, and place-based solutions are essential to meet the unique needs of each community.

Local Governments are well-suited to lead these efforts. They understand their communities’ needs and aspirations, and can bring together a clear, locally driven vision for economic growth.

The case studies in this collection showcase the creativity, collaboration, and strong community focus of economic development practitioners across the sector. Participating Local Governments have generously shared their experiences and lessons learned to support others on their journey.
