WALGA’s policy positions are derived from research, consultation and collaboration with Local Governments and other key stakeholders.
WALGA works with the State Council, Elected Members, Local Government Executives, Officers and other stakeholders such as industry groups and subject matter experts to identify and take action to address current and emerging challenges for Local Governments and their communities. While there are a wide range of issues facing the sector, it is important that WALGA focuses on those of most importance, to avoid diluting our effectiveness in influencing key decision-makers and to maximise sector outcomes.
