More than 240 WA planners came together at this years Local Government Planning Showcase held at Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre.
WALGA's annual Planning Showcase is an important forum that provides Local Government planners the opportunity to share their ideas, projects updates and innovative solutions from across the State.
The day was opened by WALGA CEO Nick Sloan, followed by an address from Hon. John Carey BA MLA, Minister for Planning and Lands; Housing and Works; Health Infrastructure. Next to the podium was WAPC Chairperson, Emma Cole, who joined Nick in a sit down interview to provide attendees with valuable insights into the WAPC .
A shout out also to our event sponsors RAC and WAPC for helping us bring this event to life, we couldn’t deliver such a great effort of your support.
To all of the amazing speakers who took time out of their busy schedules to share their innovative planning projects with their peers - thank you!
Lastly, a huge thank you to all attendees who helped make this the most successful Showcase yet!

- “Well organised and good networking opportunities”
- "The choice of guest speakers and topics were great and highly relevant to local government planners. Also, the Mentimeter Q&A system worked really well and streamlined the Q&A process”
