Compass IoT provides data from connected vehicles, including travel speed, trip origin and destination, acceleration/deceleration and queue lengths. This can support Local Governments in monitoring and managing their road networks using real-time data. When used effectively, it can assist in designing traffic management measures, improving efficiency, and supporting safer roads.
Local Governments have free access to Compass IoT through the WA whole-of-government contract; however, the data may be underutilised, or staff may be unfamiliar with how to best use the software.
Compass IoT are seeking expressions of interest for short, practical training sessions to help Local Governments use the platform in ways that directly support day-to-day work.
Sessions will be grouped by region or similar needs (for example, Wheatbelt, coastal, and large regional Councils) so that they are relevant and targeted to Local Government needs.
Each session will provide:
• An overview of Compass IoT capabilities
• Practical demonstrations of system functionality
• Examples of successful implementation
• Questions and knowledge sharing
• Guidance on integrating the platform into existing workflows
While many may already be familiar with the platform, this is a great opportunity to refresh knowledge, strengthen internal capability, and explore how Compass IoT can be more effectively integrated into existing processes.
