Child Car Seat Safety Essentials
A quick reference guide to help parents and carers understand how to select, install and use a child car seat correctly and safely.
The Child Car Seat Safety initiative is managed and coordinated through WALGA’s RoadWise Program. It provides training, support and advice to Type 1 Child Car Restraint Fitters, organisations and the WA public to improve child car seat safety.
The Child Car Seat Safety initiative provides:
- Access to child car seat fitting services for the Western Australian public.
- Training and ongoing support for a network of Type 1 Child Car Restraint Fitters.
- A telephone information line and website offering advice and information on child car seat safety and fitting locations.
- A partnership through the Child Car Restraint Industry Advisory Group, bringing together agencies and organisations to support consistent policies and guidance across WA.
