Overview
WALGA has developed an Advanced course for Local Governments, providing an indepth exploration of the wide range of waste management services delivered by the sector. This course builds on the knowledge provided in the introductory course but undertaking that course is not a prerequisite.
The course offers a detailed understanding of regulatory requirements, operational practices, identification and segregation of waste streams, education and behaviour change and much more!
Included are more hands on elements such as site tours that demonstrate how better practice principles are applied in real‑world landfill and resource recovery operations, giving participants clear, practical insights they can take back to their organisations.
There is no pre-requisite to enrol in the Waste Management Advanced course.
