Overview
This training provides an understanding of the nuances of R-Codes Volume 2 - Apartments. High density apartments are emerging as a major form of development near town centres, activity centre precincts and Metronet stations. These forms of development can be complex and challenging. The key focus areas will be on policy intent, the interrelationships between design elements, and the balancing often competing planning objectives. Participants will examine the design review process, the relationship between various built environment disciplines, understand performance based element objective assessment and the use of local planning frameworks to get high density apartments in the right location.
