Following an announcement of changes to the Australian Government Black Spot Program Guidelines in July 2024, Main Roads WA has updated their guidance on the development and management of Black Spot projects, found here.
Changes to the Australian Government Black Spot Program include widening the scope of eligible projects, reducing the qualifying crash rate in non-metropolitan areas, supplementing the maximum Australian Government contribution, and increasing project timeframes, among others.
