Mediatus

Mediatus is a dispute resolution consultancy service Western Australia, specialising in conflict resolution and dispute management services including supporting, resolving and advising on a wide range of conflicts, complaints, controversies and disputes (formal and informal). Mediatus can be appointed under AS4000:2025 (see clause 42 and items 37-45 of Annexure A Part A) Prior to or during the engagement of a law firm or other service provider you can engage Mediatus as a consultant to help all parties avoid court, prevent public embarrassment, reduce political exposure, reduce tension and conflict and minimise any adverse impact on your budget. Services include Mediation, Conciliation, Dispute Resolution, Expert Conflict Support, Collaborative Coach, Neutral & Independent Alliance and Joint Venture Board Member, Conflict Appraisal, Restorative Practice, Investigation Resolution, Independent Chairmanship, Conflict Management, Facilitation, Community Engagement, Training, Human Resource Mediation and Conflict Consultancy, Coaching, Counselling, Mentoring, Restorative process, Supervision of complaints & dispute handling.

Mediatus is led by our Principal Michelle Antonio LLB, LLM, who has 20 years post admission experience as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Western Australia. She no longer provides legal services as a full time accredited and independent mediator in Australia (AMDRAS - formerly NMAS) a Resolution Institute member, Collaborative Coach and Accredited Dispute Avoidance Board (DRBF) member for appointment under AS4000-2025. She has worked both in private practice and as in‑house counsel in ASX and Singapore Stock Exchange listed entities, and with senior government roles including General Counsel in Local Government and on the Board of the WA Disability Services Commission. 

Michelle is a law lecturer at Curtin University, on the Bond University Human Research Ethics Committee, on the Australian Energy Regulator Mediation Panel, the Law Society WA Mediation Panel, the Small Business Development Corporation Panel (WA) and currently seeking international mediation accreditation.
