Emergency Management Recovery Hub

Local Governments play a critical role in protecting communities across WA during emergencies and are the backbone of WA’s emergency and fire response capability.

From immediate response through to long-term rebuilding, they are armed with specialised local knowledge crucial for effective emergency management.

The Emergency Management Recovery Hub brings these experiences together – capturing lessons learned, sharing practical knowledge, and supporting continuous improvement in emergency management response at a local level across Western Australia.

Local Government Stories

Learn from real recovery experiences across WA

The Hub features stories from Local Governments that have led recovery efforts in their communities. These first-hand accounts highlight the realities of recovery – what worked well, what could be improved, and what others can do in preparation.

By sharing these experiences, we aim to:

  • Share practical, actionable insights
  • Support informed decision-making
