Environmental Protection Act - Authorised Officer Training

Overview

Delivered over five consecutive days, this exciting training opportunity is being offered by the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation (DWER), working with WALGA. 

The Department has recently refreshed its Authorised Officer Training and this is the first opportunity for Local Governments to participate. The training will include both theory and practical exercises. It covers the Environmental Protection Act, evidence collection, intelligence, and inspection planning, assessing and managing risk, compliance and enforcement tools and interview techniques. 

Please note:

• This course is different to the Noise Refesher Course and comprises of different content.
• Attendees will be provided with morning tea, a light lunch, and afternoon tea.

Target Audience

• Available to Local Government officers only.
• This course is not open to the general public or non-Local Government members.
