Elected members, CEO, Officer
Friday - Thursday, 17 Oct 2025 - 20 Nov 2025
11:30AM - 12:30PM
The Polyphagous Shot-hole Borer (PSHB) transition to management phase represents a significant change to stakeholder responsibilities and activities as compared with the previous four-year eradication response. The T2M phase will require Local Governments to play a greater role in PSHB management activities, including surveillance and tree treatment, as well as continued engagement with local communities. A key priority of the T2M phase is to ensure all stakeholders are equipped with the knowledge to effectively manage PSHB and comply with the Quarantine Area Notice requirements.
This seminar series aims to build the capability and skills in the Local Government sector, as well as support preparedness of LGs outside the Quarantine Area. Local Governments will provide case studies of approaches taken to date and new activities following the shift to T2M. The seminar series will support information sharing and the collective navigation of the way forward as we move towards the long-term management of PSHB.
This series is intended for Local Government staff, Elected Members and partner organisations. The seminar series is proudly supported by the Perth Inner City Group.
