WA Police and WALGA - keeping communities safe, together!

WALGA has entered an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with WA Police to establish a framework to enable and support Local Governments to participate in the CCTV sharing scheme to strengthen Community safety.

Open to all Local Governments across WA, participants can give WAPOL direct access to their areas live CCTV feeds which will link to the State Operations Command Centre - increasing response time, visibility and safety. 

WA Police Force is commiteed to building partnerships to enhance capability to deliver safer outcomes. One of the key capabilities to used by WAPOL is the ability to visualise incidents through access to CCTV feeds. 

Collabortaing with WALGA will help assist, guide, encourage and support WA Local Government Communities to participate on this CCTV sharing scheme and keep Communities safe.

All Local Governments are encouraged to get involved.
