The WALGA User Guides, presenting a methodology to calculate the cost of road wear on sealed and unsealed roads from a defined freight task, have been revised to reflect the substantial cost escalation that has occurred since 2019.
The guides can be used to inform negotiations with industry to recover the costs of road damage from extreme freight tasks on local roads.
The guides, now accompanied by an Excel calculator, are available here:
