The Safer Local Roads and Infrastructure Program (SLRIP) provides funding for road infrastructure projects focused on road safety, productivity, bridge renewal, road resilience, road sustainability, and heavy vehicle rest areas.
Local Governments are reminded that applications for Tranche 1 of the SLRIP and Tranche 4 of the Heavy Vehicle Rest Area Initiative must be submitted before 30 September 2024 for year end approval. Thereafter the next batch of assessments will commence after 31 January 2025.
Open to state, territory, and Local Governments, the program uses a merit-based application process.
