Department of Health have recently released the draft Public Health Planning Guide for Local Government and it's now open for consultation.
The guide has been developed to assist Local Governments with public health planning and developing Local Public Health Plans as required under Stage 5 of the Public Health Act 2016.
WALGA continues to work with the Department of Health to advocate for support and guidance for the sector to comply with Stage 5 of the Act which requires all Local Governments to prepare and produce a Local Public Health Plan by June 2026.

The consultation period is open until Friday 29 November 2024.
