The 2024 WA Bike Month grants program is now open!
With $75,000 waiting to be claimed, it's time to start brainstorming your ideas.
This exciting initiative aims to support projects that promote cycling and encourage community participation in biking activities throughout Western Australia.
Taking place in October each year, WA Bike Month aims to promote and encourage people of all ages and abilities to ride bikes for transport, fun and a healthier lifestyle. The initiative has run for over 30 years and continues to be valued by Local Governments and communities across metropolitan and regional WA.
This year, up to $75,000 in funding is available to be shared, supporting groups to host events in October that inspire people to give bike riding a go.
- Categories: WA Bike Month Grants are offered in three categories: major, local, and minor
- Purpose: The grants program is designed to fund a wide range of projects that celebrate biking, such as neighbourhood rides, bike-themed festivals, workshops, and more
- Action Required: Now is the perfect time to start brainstorming your project ideas! Whether you have a concept in mind or need some inspiration, we encourage you to get creative and think about how you can engage your community in the joy of cycling
- Timeline: Grant applications open Tuesday 4, June 2024 and close Sunday 30, June 2024
