Procurement in Local Government - The Basics (eLearning)
Overview
This is an online introductory course designed for individuals who are new to - or requiring an update in - the undertaking of procurement and contract management in their role in Western Australian Local Government.
Target Audience
Suitable for Local Government Managers and Officers where the role requires them to be directly or indirectly involved in procurement and contract management process.
Suitable also for Elected Members who want a greater understanding of the Procurement and Contract Management framework.
Learning Outcomes
- The legislative and policy framework related to procurement and contract management in Local Government;
- Effective procurement planning and strategy development;
- The effective use of the WALGA Procurement Toolkit and templates;
- An overview of the end-to-end procurement process from developing RFQ/RFT; and
- The roles and responsibilities in managing contracts.
