This is an introductory eLearning course designed for individuals who are new to, or requiring an update in, procurement requirements for Local Government in WA.

- An overview of the procurement life cycle process (planning, sourcing and contract management) including developing request documentation.
- The roles and responsibilities in managing procurement activities.
- Effective procurement planning and risk management.
- The effective use of the WALGA Procurement Toolkit, resources and guidance.
- Procurement requirements for Local Government in WA.

Foundation Knowledge Pathway
- Module 1: Introduction to Procurement
- Module 2: Procurement Legislative Framework
- Module 3: Guiding Principles of Procurement in Local Government
Foundation Knowledge & Practical Pathway
- Module 4: Procurement Planning
- Module 5: Evaluation & Supplier Selection
- Module 6: Establishing and Managing Contracts
Both pathways are included with enrolment. You will choose your preferred pathway after gaining access and before starting the course.
We recommend the Foundation Knowledge & Practical Pathway for a more comprehensive learning experience.
This eLearning course is self‑paced, allowing you to study at a time that suits you. Access begins at enrolment and ends when you complete the course or when your access period expires, whichever occurs first.
