WALGA welcomes the opening of a $6 million grant round through the Australian and State Government’s Recycling Modernisation Fund to enhance resource recovery across Western Australia.

Local Governments can apply for grants from $50,000 to $1 million to improve plastic, tyre, paper and cardboard recycling. Projects should focus on enhancing collection, sorting, storage, processing or recycling. Applications close 4pm on 27 February 2026

WALGA is hosting a webinar with the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation (DWER) to provide the sector with more information.
