About the event
WALGA’s annual Local Government Planning Showcase will take place at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre on Wednesday, 9 October 2024.
Highlighting projects that demonstrate the breadth and depth of Local Government planning, crossing strategic and statutory planning across the State, the Showcase provides an invaluable opportunity for planners across WA to connect with and learn from their peers.
Showcase your Local Government
Local Governments are encouraged to share their planning projects as part of the Showcase through an expression of interest.
Sharing your project is a fantastic way to highlight the work of your Local Government, offering valuable insights and best practices for others in the sector to learn from and potentially implement in their own community.
This exchange of knowledge fosters collaboration and continuous improvement across the sector.
Express your interest
Nominations for new practices, policies, or projects to present at the Showcase must be submitted via email to planning@walga.asn.au by Monday, 2 September.
Nominations that provide an expression of interest (EOI) must include:
- A 200-word abstract outlining presentation content including relevant background, outcomes and what is new, progressive, or interesting about the approach.
- An image associated with the project to be used for promotional purposes
- Names and job titles of all presenters
Please Note: Projects do not need to be 'complete' to be appropriate for presenting - proposals highlighting process, challenges and lessons learnt will be favourably considered.
