The Urban Greening Grant Program supports 33 Local Governments in the Perth (Boorloo) and Peel (Bindjareb) regions to accelerate the establishment of tree canopy and vegetative cover.
Funded by the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation (DWER) and delivered collaboratively with WALGA, Round Two has $2.8 million available to support planting programs in winter 2025.
WALGA encourages all eligible Local Governments to attend the Information Session, which will provide an overview of the program design, assessment criteria and tools to help select priority areas for planting.
Applications open on Tuesday, 14 May and close at 5 pm on Friday, 28 June 2024.
