The WA Bicycle Network (WABN) Grants Program is a State Government initiative that offers funds to Local Governments for developing active transport infrastructure, encouraging more people to walk, wheel, and ride in their daily travels.
Local Governments can apply for WABN grants, which cover up to 50% of the total project cost.
Metropolitan project eligibility focuses on projects within two kilometres of the new METRONET stations.
Regional projects should align with the relevant regional 2050 cycling strategy, if available. Regional Local Governments without such a strategy are still encouraged to apply for funding for projects that connect town centres and schools or create cycle tourism or recreational opportunities.
Applications must be submitted by 5:00 PM Friday, 6 September 2024.
