The Remote Jobs and Economic Development (RJED) program grants are open until Monday, 3 February, providing funding for eligible employers and organisations to pay for wages, equipment, operational costs and infrastructure needed to hire local people and create jobs in regional and remote areas.
To be eligible, organisations must be operating (or intending to) in a remote employment service (RES) region, also known as Community Development Program (CDP) region(s), view map and lists.
The Remote Jobs and Economic Development (RJED) program will create 3,000 new jobs over three years by funding eligible employers and organisations. Jobs can be part-time, full-time or casual and flexible around personal, family and community obligations, depending on what communities want and need.This first grant round under the RJED program is open for applications until 2pm (AEDT Time) Monday, 3 February and a second grant round will open from 4 February 2025.
