The Thriving Suburbs Program guidelines have been released and the program is now open for applications, with funding awarded on a merit basis.
2024/2025 is the first year of this program, which is part of the $350m commitment by the Australian Government for capital works projects that will enhance liveability, bolster social cohesion and support local amenity in urban, suburban and peri-urban communities across Australia’s Greater Capital City Statistical Areas.
The Australian Government values the important contributions RDAs, ALGA and local governments make to the Australian community, and commends their advocacy for their local government areas and support for projects in their regions.
