Applications for Round Three of the Disaster Ready Fund are open until 5pm on Wednesday, 2 April 2025.
The Disaster Ready Fund (DRF) is an Australian Government initiative that will deliver up to $200 million in funding over five years from 1 July 2023 to 30 June 2028, to fund projects that support natural disaster resilience and risk reduction.
In a change from previous Rounds, a reduced co-contribution of 10 per cent of the eligible project costs is required for Local Governments located in areas that have been deemed ‘very remote’ and ‘remote’ as per the Round Three Guidelines. WALGA will continue to advocate for the removal of co-contribution for requirements for Local Governments.
It is strongly recommended that Local Governments read the Round Three Guidelines and associated documentation in their entirety to ensure they are familiar with all requirements before submitting Project Proposals.
