Committee Vacancies

WALGA coordinates the appointment of Local Government representatives to a range of Local, State and Federal Government Boards and Committees on behalf of the Local Government sector.

WALGA’s Selection Committee utilises a transparent, robust, and merit-based nomination and selection process to ensure that the most qualified candidates are put forward to represent the Local Government sector. An estimated timeline of this process is provided here.

Selection Guidelines

WALGA is seeking nominations for the following vacancies:

State Road Funds to Local Government Advisory Committee

  • 3 Members - Metropolitan/Non-Metropolitan

Nominations Close 5pm Thursday, 26 March

WA Local Government Grants Commission

  • 1 Member and 1 Deputy Member - Country Urban (Towns or Cities outside of Metropolitan Perth)

Nominations Close 5pm Friday, 10 April

  • 3 Members - Metropolitan

  • signed and completed Nomination Form
  • statement addressing the Selection Criteria, and
  • CV (maximum two pages).
