WALGA Field Day: Roadside Vegetation Management

29 Sep
29 Sep

WALGA invites operational and management staff from planning and - road projects to participate in the WALGA Field Day on Roadside Vegetation Management.

During the Field Day, attendees will have the chance to visit three roadsides to learn about the ecological values of roadside vegetation and discuss issues affecting road design decisions.
Partnering with the Shire of Pingelly, the Field Day will provide an opportunity for Local Governments to talk about options to address the challenges of managing road reserves in the wheatbelt region and discuss practical applications of regulatory and other vegetation management considerations for road projects.
Roadside maintenance considerations, such as drainage, revegetation and bushfire prevention, will also be addressed. Attendees will include the Department of Water and Environment Regulation, Main Roads WA, Local Governments and WALGA. Download the program here
