East Rockingham Waste to Energy is a $511m project developed to service waste generated in the Perth Metropolitan area. The plant uses technology from Hitachi Zosen Inova (HZI) the leading supplier of turnkey waste to energy plants in the world today. We currently have waste supply agreements with 10 Perth LGA’s and WALGA Members can supply waste to the project through this panel contract. The service also includes recovery of metals and inert materials from the bottom ash. This process recovers 20% of materials from the waste which counts towards the 70% resource recovery target set in the WA Waste Strategy.
