Online Information Session: Draft Child Care Premises Position Statement

14 Dec
14 Dec

Description

The Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage (DPLH) has commenced consultation on Draft Position Statement: Child Care Premises, to replace Planning Bulletin 72/2009 Child Care Centres.
The draft aims to provide decision-makers, proponents and the community with a consistent policy approach to child care premises in Western Australia, and to assist Local Governments in the development of scheme and policy provisions relating to the development of child care premises.
Key changes include additional options for co-locating child care premises on government reserves (intended for community and educational uses) and with schools, and guidance on land use permissibility.

Join us online to learn more about the Draft Position Statement and its implications for Local Governments.
The webinar is open to Elected Members, Chief Executive Officers and Local Government Officers and will include a presentation from DPLH followed by a Q&A session.

For further information please email Policy Officer Planning Ruby Pettit or call 9213 2083.
