VendorPanel Marketplace Update
As part of its response to COVID-19, WALGA has implemented the VendorPanel Marketplace platform to immediately assist Local Government buyers to link with local suppliers and support local economic development.
To provide further information and support WALGA Member use of the platform, an Activating Marketplace in your LGA webinar will be held on Wednesday, 17 June at 11:00am. To attend this presentation, register here.

The platform is rapidly growing with the number of WA suppliers approaching 10,000 businesses.

Supporting staff to use the Marketplace is available with these resources. VendorPanel is also supporting Local Governments to run campaigns to promote their use of the platform to the local business community. For support on launching and preparing for a local campaign, email VendorPanel's Vivek Thilkan.

WALGA Preferred Supply Arrangements are managed on VendorPanel so Local Government buyers can access both suppliers and the public marketplace on the one platform.

Marketplace is aimed at accessing suppliers for low spend, local procurement needs, and does not entail any WALGA process of prequalification or due diligence. The facility has been licensed by WALGA as a Member benefit and entails no cost to either Members or suppliers.

Capturing the Ideas of Western Australians
WA Local Governments are asked to assist in promoting an online innovation platform, iThink, to support the State's COVID-19 response.
All ideas from Western Australians are being sought via the iThink platform to help in the COVID-19 pandemic response. The platform, including an online community, is open to the public of WA.

Deputy Premier and Health Minister, Roger Cook and highly respected surgeon and researcher Professor Fiona Wood AM are firmly behind the iThink initiative. View the video launch here.

The ideas captured by the iThink platform are to be assessed, developed and implemented through a number of State Government led COVID-19 response teams that have been established across government departments.

Professor Wood and the City of Canning are leading a new innovation hub that will explore the ideas submitted through the Staying Well challenge on the platform.
An online promotional pack is available here.
