Webinar: Exploring Climate Alliances for Local Government
WALGA is hosting a webinar, Exploring Climate Alliances for Local Government, on Monday, 31 August from 10:00am to 12:00pm.
The webinar will explore how climate alliances between Local Governments can be used to strengthen the planning and delivery of climate change adaptation and mitigation actions.

The program will cover the different approaches taken by alliances in WA, VIC and NSW to take action on climate change. It will focus on how the alliances were formed, their purpose, governance and decision-making, actions taken and the lessons they have learnt.

An interactive workshop session will be held to explore the possibility of forming similar climate alliances for WA Local Governments, including a discussion of what they would look like, and how they would form and function.
