WALGA’s Environment and Sustainability eLearning Course released

The Environment and Sustainability eLearning Course is comprised of five modules designed to provide Local Governments with a comprehensive grounding in key areas of responsibility and management. Read more about the course here.
 

WALGA Field Day on Plant Recognition and Restoration Practices in Natural Areas 

Local Government staff involved in natural area management are invited to the field day, which will provide opportunities to learn about select plant communities, site management issues and lessons from restoration works.

Climate Change Bill Passes Federal Parliament

The Climate Change Bill 2022 includes national targets of cutting emissions by at least 43% by 2030 (compared to 2005) and reaching net zero by 2050.

TREEmendous Biosecurity Blitz

The TREEmendous Biosecurity Blitz aims to protect WA’s trees from exotic threats across our horticultural and forest industries and urban and bushland environments. The annual event runs from 24 September to 24 October.
