Training Requirements for Elected Members
WALGA's Council Member Essentials units, needed to meet recently legislated training requirements, are available to be completed online. These units are highly recommended to be completed by any Elected Members who were newly appointed or re-elected from 2019. This training will assist Members to meet the Local Government (Administration) Regulation 35 training requirements before Sunday, 18 October.
The Council Member Essentials eLearning courses comprise of:

Elected Members who are interested in completing the Council Member Essentials courses via eLearning are encouraged to contact their Local Government administration, who may be able to assist them in enrollment.

We also wish to make a special mention of and congratulate all of our members that have completed all five units so far. For any of these members, if you would like a copy of any of your certificates, please don't hesitate to contact the Training Team.

Please note: there are two components needed to be completed to demonstrate you have passed each unit. One is to complete the training course via a face to face session, eLearning course or via a virtual classroom. The second is to complete the corresponding units online assessment quiz. Once you have completed both the training and the online assessment quiz, you will receive a certificate outlining meeting the completion requirements.
