VendorPanel Marketplace Webinar
As part of WALGA’s ongoing support to the sector in response to the impacts of COVID-19, WALGA has negotiated for Members to receive a free 12-month trial of the online VendorPanel Marketplace platform to assist Local Government buyers to link with local suppliers, manage local procurement processes and help stimulate their local economies.
Following a number of initiatives to drive supplier support including a recent supplier webinar, supplier response and registration into the platform has been very strong, with many Member Local Governments well positioned to start using these suppliers for local procurement needs.
 
As a follow up to the webinar held on Wednesday, 6 May a further webinar is scheduled to assist Members with the use of the platform and answer any questions, including a demonstration of Marketplace.

The webinar will be of interest to CEOs, Corporate Services Officers, Procurement Officers and any Local Government Officers who undertake procurement functions.

ICT Preferred Supplier Services
WALGA continues to scan its Preferred Supplier Arrangements to assess services that are in demand and specific to the current market disruption. 
The Association has asked suppliers of these panels to summarise their service offering and market capacity.

InfoPages relating to the ICT Panel and other WALGA Preferred Supplier Panels providing specialised services can be accessed on the Business Continuity and Emergency Supply Services section of the COVID-19 WALGA website.
 
WALGA is also contracting a new panel of Preferred Suppliers for ICT Services, inclusive of new categories of supply such as Cyber Security services.

Suppliers will be progressively added to the WALGA Products and Services Directory over the coming weeks as contracts are executed.

Webinar Series to Showcase Waterwise Actions
New Water Ways, one of WALGA’s partner organisations, is hosting a free two-part webinar series titled Waterwise Council Program: Our Journey to Platinum, on Thursday, 21 May and Thursday, 28 May at 9:30am.
The webinars will focus on the waterwise actions that helped each Local Government achieve Platinum Waterwise Council status.

Each session includes an introduction to the goals and indicators of a Water Sensitive City, and a presentation from each of the Local Governments who have attained Platinum Status: the Cities of Subiaco, Vincent, Mandurah and Canning. 

The Waterwise Team will also present the revised Waterwise Council Action Plan template and provide an explanation of the interim 2019/20 reporting arrangements.
