Addressing key areas including legislative, regulatory and policy frameworks, principles of probity in procurement, effective probity and compliance management throughout the procurement cycle, evaluation and scoring methodologies, selection reports and contract establishment.

Target Audience

Suitable for Local Government Managers and Officers whose role requires them to purchase goods, or be part of evaluation panels.

As a result of completing this program, participants should be able to:

  • understand the legislative, regulatory and frameworks relative to evaluation practices in WA Local Government
  • undertake effective evaluation planning
  • source the market to receive bids for evaluations
  • manage evaluation risks
  • apply evaluation methodologies and scoring systems
  • write a clear and concise evaluation report; and
  • understand the different ways a contract can be formed.

Cancellations, transfers and substitutions

  • Requested must be received in writing via email, letter or fax.
  • Cancellations received within 5 working days of the start of the course will incur a 20% administration fee of the full course cost.
  • Non-attendance or cancellations received within 2 working days of the start of the course will incur the full course fee.
  • Participants can only transfer course dates once without incurring the full fee.
  • Substitutions can be made at any time and no fee will be incurred.
