Professionally Speaking

Overview

Professionally Speaking is an interactive workshop specifically designed to get you out of your comfort zone, in a safe, fun and constructive learning environment that will teach you to remain calm, in control, and appear confident while doing the often uncomfortable work of professional public speaking.

This course offers practical techniques and tools for handling unfamiliar public speaking situations with confidence and aplomb. You will be able to practise speaking into microphones, laptop screens, and cameras as you learn to apply your new public speaking skills to a full range of modern communication situations.

Each participant receives individual assessment and feedback about their public speaking and communication style.

Target Audience

Elected Members who would like to increase their knowledge and confidence when speaking publicly. This course will help participants when representing their Council to media, representing their electorate at Council meetings, or conveying important information, values, and objectives in any public speaking forum: from meetings to radio interviews to video conferences.
