WALGA's Governance and Organisational Services Team is pleased to invite you to the 2019  People and Culture Seminar.
The WALGA Local Government People and Culture Seminar aims to engage Local Government Officers from a range of disciplines and organisational levels, with speakers offering expertise and insights to inform and engage attendees about sector, industrial and employment developments.

The 2019 Seminar program will include the following presentations: 

  • Keynote address presented by Chief Executive Officer of the Western Australian Cricket Association (WACA), Christina Matthews on leadership, influence and culture
  • Minister for Mines and Petroleum; Energy; Industrial Relations, Hon Bill Johnston MLA presenting on the State Industrial Relations Review 
  • Choose Your Own Disciplinary Adventure – Interactive Employee Misconduct Issue
  • The State of the Sector
  • The Future of HR, and
  • Conversations for Change. 
This full day Seminar will offer interactive presentations and practical guidance on contemporary and future issues within the Local Government Sector. The day will conclude with a networking sundowner.
CEOs, senior staff, line managers, governance and human resource practitioners, and training and recruitment officers of all Local Governments and Associate Members are encouraged to attend.
