WALGA ER Service Feedback Survey – Results

In May 2018 WALGA conducted a survey to seek feedback about the Employee Relations Services delivered to Local Governments.

Overall we had 82 responses to the survey from Local Government officers across rural/remote areas, regional centres and outer and inner Metropolitan areas.

Below is a snapshot of the survey results.

Results overview

Feedback about our services was very positive, with over 90% of participants rating as satisfied overall with their subscription to the Employee Relations Service.

Of the 13 ER products and services surveyed, respondents were most highly satisfied with telephone advice, written advice and ER Alerts (email newsletter). This was closely followed by the salary and workforce survey and templates and resources.

In terms of value, the top five services rated most valuable by survey respondents were ER Alerts (email newsletter), telephone advice, written advice, templates and resources and sector policy and advocacy representation.

Approximately 88% of survey respondents rated the quality of the products and services provided as high or very high. On the topic of responsiveness, over 86% rated the service as very or extremely responsive.

Importantly, the survey enabled us to identify opportunities where we can improve our service offering, including:
  • providing a broader range and greater access to resources; and
  • coordinating more information sessions and seminars in regional areas.
What next?

In the coming weeks and months we will be providing our subscribers with downloadable ER Guides and supporting templates on a range of topics including the disciplinary process, fitness for work, performance management and abandonment of employment.
