Proposed Changes to the Work Health and Safety Regime

  • the proposed new legislative regime
  • what this means for Western Australian Local Governments, and
  • the introduction of the offence of ‘Industrial Manslaughter’ and what this means for employers.

Wage Theft
Workplace relations in Australia is increasingly complex, and wage and entitlement errors are becoming ever more common as employers fail to correctly interpret awards, agreements and contracts. This seminar will highlight:
  • recent examples of wage theft and how they could have been avoided
  • employer responsibilities
  • penalties for non-compliance, and
  • both the State and Federal Government’s response.
