State IR Review - Sector Reference Group Nominations
Tuesday, June 25, 2019
As you are aware, in April 2019 the State Government released its Final Report of the Ministerial Review of the State IR System. The Report contained the recommendation that Local Governments should operate in the State IR system, as opposed to the Federal IR System.

We are now inviting representatives from Local Government to form a Sector Reference Group.

This group will be instrumental in providing feedback about the operational and financial impact of Local Government moving to the State IR system with a particular emphasis on the ‘unintended consequences’ of the change.

We are required to provide our initial feedback to the State Government by mid July 2019. As this is a short time frame, we will enable representatives from the Sector Reference Group to provide feedback in writing as well as the opportunity to attend a Sector Reference Group meeting in person at WALGA or via teleconference on Tuesday, 9 July. Details of the meeting will be confirmed soon.

If you are interested in joining the Sector Reference Group, please express your interest via email to Emma Clements at  no later than Friday, 28 June.
