Engineering Consulting Services

WSP and Parsons Brinckerhoff have combined and are now one of the world’s leading engineering professional services consulting firms, located in over 500 offices in 40 countries. Together we provide services to transform the built environment and restore the natural environment, and our expertise ranges from environmental remediation to urban planning, from engineering iconic buildings to designing sustainable transport networks and from developing the energy sources of the future to enabling new ways of extracting essential resources.

As one of the world’s leading professional services firms, we provide technical expertise and strategic advice to clients in the property and buildings, transportation and infrastructure, environment, industry, resources (including mining and oil and gas) and power and energy sectors. We are a diverse group of individuals including engineers, scientists, technicians, consultants and academics who work together to provide the most effective and sustainable solutions for our clients.

WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff has been operating in Western Australia for over 50 years and currently employs more than 160 people. We are committed to further developing a strong Western Australian presence and have the resources and capability to support this commitment. In 2013, WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff identified WA as a key strategic growth area and we have since targeted investment in the growth of our local transport capability. We focused on a range of disciplines including asset management and construction support services such as independent certification.

Over the last three years we have grown our WA transport business from 15 to 50 people in the areas of traffic engineering, transport planning, road and highway design, rail engineering, bridge design, tunnel engineering, geotechnical, materials technology, geospatial and 3D/4D visualisation services. In 2017 we will be employing five new graduates, representing a 10% increase in our transport team.

As we have grown, the revenue stream to our local subconsultants and suppliers has also increased, representing around 20% of our gross revenue. This has in turn created more employment opportunities and local economic growth.
