Talis is a medium sized, versatile consultancy with a particular focus on client service across the public and private sectors. We are a multidisciplinary team with established capabilities in the areas of Assets, Engineering, Environment, Noise, Spatial and Waste.

Environment
Our Environment practice specialises in environmental impact assessment and approvals for a range of local government and industry clients. Our experience ranges from major environmental assessments through to licensing and subsidiary approvals, including project management of specialist sub-consultants where required. Talis personnel have first-hand experience working for mining and industrial operations as well as government agencies responsible for regulation of these facilities.
We also have expertise in all aspects of environmental site investigations. We have a detailed understanding of, and experience in, contaminated site assessments and remediation, hydrogeological assessments, and geotechnical investigations, delivering holistic, integrated solutions to our clients. Our clients include state and local government as well as industry and our work covers a range of contaminants and risks including asbestos, PFAS and hydrocarbons in a variety of environments.
We also have staff extremely well-versed in working with and for the State Administrative Tribunal (SAT) and Development Assessment Panels (DAP).
Waste Management
Talis has a dedicated Waste Management Team that is one of the largest and most experienced in Western Australia The Talis Waste Management Team consists of engineers, scientists and consultants who specialise in the delivery of strategic waste management solutions along with recycling and waste infrastructure. Our spectrum of services includes the delivery of all types of waste management infrastructure including:
- Community recycling (drop-off) centres and transfer stations
- Recycling and recovery facilities and landfills from concept through to operations. Our services in this area include:
- Site Selection
- Hydrogeological and Geotechnical Investigations
- Approvals, Designs and Contract documentation
- Construction Quality Assurance, and role of Superintendent
