Selection Committee Vacancies

WALGA coordinates the appointment of Local Government representatives to a range of Local, State and Federal Government Boards and Committees on behalf of the Local Government sector.

WALGA’s Selection Committee utilises a transparent, robust, and merit-based nomination and selection process to ensure that the most qualified candidates are put forward to represent the Local Government sector.

Local Government Grants Scheme Working Group

  • 1 Member – Local Government Officer

  • 1 Member – Elected Member

Nominees are required to submit a completed nomination form, statement addressing the selection criteria and short curriculum vitae (two pages maximum) before the close of nominations 5:00pm Friday 9 April 2021.

Expression of Interest – Neighbourhood Watch Board

WALGA is seeking expressions of interest from Non-metropolitan Local Government officers for a vacant position on the Neighbourhood Watch WA State Advisory Board.
Local Government Officers from Non-metropolitan WA with the interest and relevant experience to advise on policy, and assist with the promotion of Neighbourhood Watch WA are encouraged to send an up-to-date CV and a short statement (up to 250 words) outlining your interest in the role and capacity to represent Local Government. Please note that it is not essential to have an active Neighbourhood Watch Group in your area to be considered for this Board.
