Join us for breakfast with the former leading Fremantle Dockers player, former coach of South Fremantle Football Club (WAFL), sports broadcaster.

 
Paul grew up in Northampton, a small town 470 km north of Perth. He moved to Perth to attend secondary school at Mazenod College where he had a passion for football, cricket, tennis and living life to the fullest. Paul has a wealth of achievements, knowledge and experience that he utilises in both his current and professional life.

He played 208 games spanning 11 seasons for Fremantle Dockers. During this period Paul was awarded the Rising Star Award in 2000, AFL All Australian in 2003 and named as Ross Glendinning Medallist on four occasions.

Paul also represented Australia against Ireland in the International Rules Series and was twice runner up in the Dockers Best & Fairest Award.

After his impressive career he retired in 2010 and began a career working in the mining and construction industry for ASX 100 company Monadelphous as a Learning and Development Adviser delivering programs on frontline management, leadership, communication, teamwork and safety.  

In 2009, Paul was elected as a member of the Ministerial Council for Suicide Prevention.

Paul contributed an abundance of skills and experience to the WA One Life suicide prevention strategy, and continues this work today in his role as One Life Suicide Prevention Ambassador.  Paul received Gatekeeper training, which teaches individuals to recognise and respond to people at potential risk of suicide, and has completed Applied Suicide Intervention Training (ASIST).

This event is open to Elected Members, Local Government Officers and WALGA Preferred Suppliers.

Registration closes Wednesday, 16 September, or earlier if we reach capacity.
 



Cancellation Policy

By submitting your registration you agree to the following terms and conditions:
  • Cancellations will be accepted in writing until close of Registration ( Wednesday, 16 September 2020) - thereafter full charges will apply
  • Registrations may be transferred to another member of Council at any time but must be advised in writing.  

Changes to your registration
You can modify your online booking at any time before the close of registrations. Once you have completed your registration, an email with your confirmation number will be emailed to you. Click on the link and enter your confirmation number to make any changes or additions to your reservation.
Changes after close of registrations have to be emailed to registration@walga.asn.au .

Registration cancellations must be advised in writing prior to the deadline date of Wednesday, 16 September. Thereafter full fees are payable. Alternatively, a registration may be transferred to another member of the Council.
