Description

  • What does it mean to have Emergency Management capability?
  • What is the SEMC State EM Capability Framework?
  • What is the yearly capability survey?
  • What are individual organisation capability summary reports?

Peta Turner, Program Leader, DFES State Capability Team, will be presenting on the State Emergency Management Committee’s (SEMC) State Emergency Management Capability Framework and the associated capability survey, discussing how these have evolved and what they mean for EM and for local governments specifically.
With the 2021 capability survey scheduled for release to local governments in April, the webinar will also cover some of the practicalities of completing it, including the new tools that have been developed. Finally, Peta will discuss the individual organisation capability summary reports that are being rolled out to local governments, including how to interpret the findings and how they can be used.
