Local Government Workshop: Our Priorities

Local Government Workshop: Our Priorities

How do we focus the capacity of Government to solve the problems that seem unsolvable? In the world of modern politics and civic life, despite more information and expertise than ever before, it seems like the priorities of the community are forever out of reach.

In response to this challenge, the McGowan Government has released the ‘Our Priorities’ initiative, focussed on whole of government targets to deliver better outcomes for Western Australians, and invite Local Governments to explore sector input into these targets.

Jointly hosted by WALGA and the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries, the workshop will provide further information on ‘Our Priorities’ and explore ways in which Local Government is contributing to this whole of government agenda. Further information and current targets under this initiative can be seen in the information brochure.

Local Government Officers and Elected Members are invited to participate in the workshop and hear from representatives of WALGA, DLGSC, the Department of Premier and Cabinet and Local Government Professionals and provide direct input into ways in which Local Government can contribute and shape our future.

For more information, please contact WALGA's Event Manager, Ulla Prill or call (08) 9213 2043.
