This annual Conference will be held on Wednesday, 4 September and will explore current issues in community safety and crime prevention in Local Government.

Expert speakers include representatives from the WA Police, Shelter WA, Crime Stoppers WA, the Alcohol and Drug Foundation, NBN Co, WALGA and the Cities of Melville, Joondalup, Wanneroo and Perth.

  Neighbourhood Watch WA Strategy Presentation
 
United in Closing the Gap: A Collaborative and Coordinated Postvention Response

 

 
Prevention of Violent Extremism – Kata Path Program and how violent extremism incidents may be prevented if early indicators are identified and action is taken
 

 


 
Homelessness session with presentations from Shelter WA, WA Alliance to End Homelessness, 50 Lives, 50 Homes, Cities of Joondalup, Wanneroo and Perth and a panel discussion on the role of local government in addressing homelessness
    
 

 
Crime Stoppers WA Update regarding a new reporting app for industry personnel including rangers. Also an introduction to Bikelinc - a new bike theft reduction platform
  The results of an evaluation of the City of Melville’s 24 hour Community Safety Service
  Online safety and scam awareness presented by NBN Co.

 
Current  initiatives  of  the  Alcohol  and  Drug  Foundation  including  the ‘Planet Iceland’ youth drug prevention program
  Emergency management update from WALGA
