Local Government Animal Welfare in Emergencies Webinar - POSTPONED

WALGA and the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) will be hosting a webinar on Local Plans for Animal Welfare in Emergencies.

This webinar will focus on the role of Local Governments in safeguarding animal welfare during an emergency as well as activation of the State Support Plan on Animal Welfare in Emergencies.

The webinar will provide an overview of the development and activation of a Local Plan for Animal Welfare in Emergencies (LPAWE), as well as resources available to Local Governments. The City of Swan and Shire of Mundaring will provide an overview of the lessons from the recent Wooroloo bushfires and experience with the activation of their Local Plans.

An update on the Animal Welfare in Emergencies Grant Program will also be provided.
