OSH Roles & Responsibilities
Everybody has a right to be safe at work, to have the expectation that they will return home at the end of the day safe and sound.
The role a leader plays is vital in creating positive safety behaviours.
This session will cover a range of areas and techniques to assist:
  • Local government safety obligations
  • How safety obligations can be applied in day to day operations
  • Consultation and communication methods
  • Fundamentals of Incident Management & Investigation
  • Contractor Management  - What Local Government obligations are
  • Leading with action, adopting your own personal safety behaviours.


RTW Coordinator training
An overview of LGIS workers’ compensation claims management and the requirements of local government RTW coordinators, in accordance with the WorkCover self-insurer principles and standards of practice.

The training will cover:
  • LGIS and claims management
  • RTW principles & standards
  • Return to work programming & identification of suitable duties
  • Treatment and anticipated injury timeframes
  • Workplace rehabilitation providers
  • Non-workers compensation injuries and fitness for work
